INDUSTRY NEWS

Caron has sold their business. My understanding is that the product line will continue. Haven’t heard who bought them or how the sale will impact availability. Their website no longer loads as I went there tonight to see if there might be new info. No idea if we will see an interruption in availability like we currently have with Kreinik metallics, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that happens. Time will tell.

THREADS & PAGES (aka Book Club :D)
We have a couple openings for anyone who has been thinking about joining us but couldn’t previously for one thing or another (Life happens :D) Wanna come? We would love it. May’s read is –

Registration is required. If you can’t make it and have registered, please let me know so I can reach out to anyone on the Wait List. Book Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month with the following upcoming dates –

May 21, June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, October 15

Have created a library of sorts for those who might like to read previous selections. They can be “checked out” at no charge for a 2-week period. 

Have also started a bookmark section. Two styles of bookmarks and lots of charts to choose from!

SUNDAY STITCH NITES
Here are the dates for Sunday Stitch Nites through September 2025 —

May 4, June 1, June 22, July 6, July 20, Aug. 3, Aug. 17, Sept. 7,  Sept. 21

Only one in May (daughter’s wedding). We are full for the May 4th Nite but can add you onto the Wait List as things always come up last minute. If you’ve previously registered and are unable to attend, please let me know as those on the Wait List would love to come! If there is a need to cancel, it will be posted online via Instagram, Facebook and the website (threadedneedle.org).

CLUBS, CLUBS and CLUBS
Sampler Club: Beginning Wednesday, May 7 we are starting a sampler club. 6:30-8:30PM every 1st Wednesday of the month is a time to gather and work on whatever sampler you have going or start a new one. Only sampler stitching on this day. 😀 Registration required, but no fee. 🙂 The 7th is full, with a Wait List. As always, let me know if your plans change so I can reach out to those waiting. Future dates: June 4, July 2, Aug. 6, Sept. 3

WIP Club: Beginning Wednesday, May 14 we are starting a work-in-progress club. 6:30-8:30PM every 2nd Wednesday of the month is a time to do some focused stitching on any WIP in your basket. Registration required, but no fee. 🙂 Future dates: June 11, July 9, Aug. 13, Sept. 10

Book Club: Already talked about above, but Book Club meets every 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Holiday Club: Beginning May 28, 6:30-8:30pm, we will meet to work on holiday stitching. Any holiday, real or made up, just has to be a holiday project. 😀 This club meets the 4th Wednesday of every month. Registration required, no fee. Future dates: June 25, July 23, Aug. 27, Sept. 24

New Project Club: Beginning Tuesday, June 3, 6:30-8:30PM, we will meet to stitch whatever NEW project you have in mind. Your first stitch must be made that night otherwise it would be a WIP. 😀 Can’t wait to hear the stories about why you chose that particular piece to start. Registration required, no fee. This club will meet the 1st Tuesday of each month. Future dates: July 1, Aug. 5, Sept. 2

Space is limited for each Club night, so registration is a must. A Wait List will be created if necessary. These should be so much fun!

Notice a pattern? –
1st Wednesday: Sampler Club
2nd Wednesday: WIP Club
3rd Wednesday: Book Club
4th Wednesday: Holiday Club

And then there’s the New Project Club that meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month! 

Lots going on. Registration required but FREE to attend. Just register, come and have fun. Hang out. Stitch. Chat. Friendship is the best when stitching is involved!

MORE STUFF!
Celebrations is this month! It’s wedding weekend for the Masks so we won’t be there, but our support will be! There’s a wonderful “basket” in the raffle items from Threaded Needle! Hope you are lucky enough to win it! While we are closed on Friday & Saturday (May 16 & 17), we will be open on Sunday the 18th. REMINDER: Summer Hours kick in Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The only change is that we will be closed on Sundays effective May 25. We will reopen again on Sunday effective Sept. 7. Hard to believe it’s time for summer plans already. 😀
