Ann Hunt Nailsea 1805 by Cross Stitch Antiques

$24.00

From the designer —

Little of any certainty could be found about the stitcher of this lovely, intricate and perfectly stitched sampler… perhaps she is the Ann Hunt who was baptized on Nov. 2, 1795 in Glastonbury, St. John, Somerset, England, about 43 miles from Nailsea. Ann would have been 10 years old at the time her sampler was completed. Note the initials in one of the medallions reads AH to AH, Ann to her mother Ann perhaps, and a Token of Love. After many hours of uncertainly searching records, while gazing at the sampler itself, this big clue jumped out at me. I get a thrill to think this is our Ann, clearly providing a connection to the past before my eyes.
