I was inspired to design ‘Day of Jubliee’ as a tribute to Harriet Tubman, who in 1849 made the courageous decision to escape slavery. Tapping into an Underground Railroad on the Eastern Shore, she followed rivers and stars, all while relying on her faith in God to lead her north from Maryland to freedom in Pennsylvania.
