Fish ‘n Ships by Long Dog Samplers

With apologies to John Masefield and his poem Sea Fever …

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky
And all I ask is a Long Dog and a chart to stitch it by.
And some silk threads and the sun’s light, and my hands not shaking
And a snoozing dog (or a purring cat) and a sampler to be making.

….. and a man-eating sea snake with a ship or two thrown in for good measure!
