This reproduction is called Mama’s Sampler because when the sampler was purchased a note was included that said ‘Mama stitched these samplers when she was 6 or 7 years old.’ Unfortunately, no other information was included so we will probably never know who ‘Mama’ was, but her samplers are her legacy.
This is the first of two samplers stitched by ‘Mama.’
