What Remains by Blackbird Designs

My mind often wanders as I stitch. I think about the mundane things like recent phone calls, my family, my ‘to do’ list, and what to fix for lunch. And can’t help but think about the piece I’m stitching, and what story I want it to tell.

My grandkids have been on my mind so much lately. While I was stitching, I discovered the story this sampler began to tell me, a story left for my grandkids long after I’m gone. It’s simply this: I love them so much! Hence the stitched words ‘What remains is love.’
