September, 2026
Before digging into the topics that have gotten out of my head and onto the page I have to say that there is so much going on in Threaded Needle land that finding a starting point is my challenge. I cannot thank you enough for riding this ride with us. For getting excited and matching our energy. Having a shop is, to me, more than just having goodies for you to enhance your stash (although that is very fun mind you :D). It is part of our mission to create excitement and enthusiasm for this needle art and all the possibilities it provides. That being said, let’s jump in knowing there’s so much behind what did make it into this newsletter. I hope you find something that challenges you, excites you, encourages you and raises your curiosity to join in the fun of it all. And now… here we go!
GLOBAL NEEDLEWORK COMMUNITY
FABRIC
Scuttlebutt within the industry deals with a fabric shortage. So far we’re good, but there are a few fabric colors that when I went to reorder, they weren’t available. On the flipside of that is a fabric that has been gone for months, yet it’s back again. So that leads me to think that the struggles are more about availability across the ocean vs. actually a discontinued product. For the most part, we’re okay other than prices going up. But I am seeing certain colors going unavailable. Just letting you know.
NEEDLEWORK MARKETPLACE
Needlework Marketplace, such a unique wholesale market for this industry. While the event was in late August, and while much of the designs are here in the shop, there are still quite a few designs and products that haven’t arrived. When you visit, and you really should visit, on the big table under the window are baskets with all the designs in one location. Preorders have all gone out or are waiting for pick up. All have been notified, so come visit! The only exception to this is for those designers whose orders haven’t arrived yet. This wraps the tradeshow season for 2026. The next influx of incredible designs is Nashville 2027!
