Certain types of symmetry are seen over and over in design work:Â fourfold, fivefold, and sixfold, as well as multiples of those – think 12 or 16 pointed stars. It is unusual to find a design with sevenfold geometry, as this is. This pattern was inspired by a door of a mosque found in Turkey.
